BAD ENDORSMENTS HAVE CONSIQUENSES: By now you probably have seen that there is a runoff election between Dr Tim Westley & Don Buckingham for Texas Land Commissioner. This runoff election will have serious consequences when it comes to our Texas History & our Veterans. A lot of Texans are summing this race up as "The Establishment Rino (Don Buckingham) VS The Grassroots Candidate (Dr Tim Westley). Before you get into the meat of this article, please mark down these important dates in your calendar. April 25, 2022, is the last day you can register to vote. Early voting begins on May 16, 2022 and ends on May 20, 2022. Finally Election Day is on May 24, 2022. If you have any questions on where you need to register to vote or where you go to vote, you can find these answers at VoteTexas.gov . Throughout this entire process, the primaries & runoff, there has been some really bad endorsements when it comes to Texas Land Commissioner Race. A lot of people started endorsing Victor Avila, a candidate in the primaries for Texas Land Commissioner, mostly because he was a Special Agent with ICE-HSI US Immigration. That all changed in February 2022 when TITFF (This Is Texas Freedom Force) exposed that Victor Avila had endorsed George P Bush (former Land Commissioner who tried "Reimagine the Alamo & remove the Alamo Cenotaph,) who is now running for Texas AG against Ken Paxton. TITFF also caught Victor Avila bragging that his campaign had a big donor with deep pockets (ie George P Bush), so he wasn't worried about the Texas Land Commissioner race, he had it all wrapped up, that didn't work out to well. Soon as TITFF dropped the info publicly, and he was exposed, Texans began to flee from his campaign and his numbers dropped quickly. Victor didn't win the race for Land Commissioner, he came in 5th place (out of 7 candidates) only getting 121,998 votes, about 7.5% of the vote. This just shows that making bad endorsements can have some serious consequences for both the endorser and the person being endorsed. (Article continues below graphic) BAD ENDORSMENT: Some of you, may have seen last week, that the GOA (Gun Owners of America) put out an email endorsing Dawn Buckingham for Texas Land Commissioner. Now, before we begin talking about this specific bad endorsement, we want to make a few things clear. We are not knocking GOA on their work concerning gun rights or the second amendment. We give credit where credit is due. We commend GOA for bringing in members to testify and working long hours at the Texas capitol on the Constitutional Carry Bill. Although Constitutional Carry was not achieved in the 87th Legislative Session, Texans got Permit-Less Carry, GOA still did a good job at the capitol. But when it comes to their endorsement of Dawn Buckingham, not only did they miss the bullseye, but they also missed the target all together.
As you see above, TITFF's main mission is PROTECTING/DEFENDING OUR TEXAS HISTORY. TITFF has worked on several GUN RIGHTS ISSUES, but we always play a secondary role to groups like Open Carry Texas & GOA, this is done by design. You wouldn't call an asthma doctor to fuse your back, would you? No, you call an orthopedic back surgeon! Same goes with gun rights issues. Yes, TITFF knows our fair share about guns, gun rights, gun laws and gun legislation, but we defer gun related issues to Open Carry Texas and on occasion GOA because that is their primary objective. It's not only the smart thing to do, but also the respectful thing to do. So when Texans are talking about electing a candidate to Texas Land Commissioner, whose position has nothing to do with gun related issues, but has everything to do with Texas History & our Historical Monuments, one would think GOA would at least ask TITFF what our thoughts are about the candidates before blasting a bad endorsement out to Texans, but that never happened. Maybe they are too good to reach out to us, maybe they have gotten too big for their britches and think they know it all, or maybe it's one of those "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" type of deals. No matter what the case, a bad endorsement is a bad endorsement, it's done and GOA has to live with it. LET'S TALK ABOUT THE RINO IN THE ROOM There are a lot of reasons Texans refer to Dawn Buckingham an establishment Rino, never mind the nickname we gave her, #Duckingham, we will discuss that later. Also, a lot of this issues we will be bringing up are in the video we posted below. Once you are done reading the article, you can watch the video and see #Duckingham's responses to Texans' questions. How many of you knew that the establishment Rinos asked Dawn Buckingham to run for Land Commissioner? They did. Buckingham is a current Senator in the state of Texas. Senator is a much higher office than Texas Land Commissioner. No one just ups and decides to leave their Senate seat, take a demotion, and run for a lower office unless they are asked to do so by the Establishment Rinos. The reason they wanted her to run is because current Texas Land Commissioner, George P Bush (establishment Rino), is running for Attorney General against Ken Paxton. The establishment wants to ensure that they will get another establishment Rino in the GLO (General Land Office) because the state has put a lot of money into the Reimagine the Alamo Project. George P Bush screwed up and wasted lots of money on a plan that 97.3% of Conservative Texans were against. They can't afford to have someone come in as Land Commissioner, listen to the will of Texans (specially grassroots Texans), and not see a return on the investment. So, the establishment needs another establishment Rino to come in and do their bidding, hints why Buckingham is running for office. Buckingham brags in her speeches saying, "Some folks asked me to run for Land Commissioner", but she won't tell you who "They" are. TITFF Houston Director Randy Beale ask Buckingham who asked her to run for Land Commissioner, she responds with "We all have folks that ask us to run". When Buckingham was pressed on the issue, she replied, "I can't remember who asked me". Talk about a round about way to answer the question without answering the question. You can see her not answering the question on Video B at the bottom of this article. Buckingham knows exactly who asked her to run, she doesn't want to answer the question because the "THEY" are Rinos and she knows she'd lose a lot of support if she told the truth. You might be saying, "But I heard Buckingham tell us that she stopped the Alamo Cenotaph from being removed and she's against the Reimagine the Alamo Project." You might have heard her say that, it's on the video below too, but we all know politicians lie like a rug. Let's just talk about the Alamo Cenotaph battle first. TITFF spent 4 years fighting George P Bush & the City of San Antonio, trying to stop the removal/damaging of the Alamo Cenotaph. TITFF attended every single Alamo Meeting that was held from 2017-2021, that includes Alamo Trust Meetings, Alamo Advisory Meetings, Alamo Road Show Meetings, City Council Meetings, Citizens to be Heard Meetings, testifying on Alamo Bills at the Capitol, and much more. TITFF held dozens of #NotOneInch Rallies each year at the Alamo Cenotaph and across Texas. TITFF spent countless nights, spending 24/72 hours, staying at the Alamo Cenotaph in fear, because a crane was parked a few blocks away from the Alamo, and we thought this was going to be the night they try to disassemble the Cenotaph. TITFF dedicated a parade float that had a 8ft by 4ft three dimensional Alamo as our centerpiece, we attended 6 parades, where we passed out fliers talking to Texans about what was going on at the Alamo in hopes to educate them on it. TITFF even had a banner, flown over our rally by plane, that talked about not moving the Alamo Cenotaph. Do you know how many times we saw Dawn Buckingham during those 4 years? 0, a big fat zero! Before each meeting, the committee would read any letters that had been written by politicians or those in high places. Do you know how many times we listened to a letter written by Buckingham at one of those hundreds of meetings? 0, another big fat zero! You can make up any excuse you want, but her opponent Dr Tim Westley was there. State Rep Kyle Biedermann was there. Other Senators & State Reps wrote letters, but Dawn Buckingham didn't. State Representative Kyle Biedermann even asked Dawn Buckingham 3 times to sign on to his Alamo Bills, bills that would have kept the focus on 1836 Battle of the Alamo, but Buckingham turned him down all 3 times. You will hear in the video that Dawn Buckingham claims it was because liberal democrats added amendments to the bill and that is why she turned State Rep Kyle Biedermann down. This is false. During the time that State Rep Kyle Biedermann asked Buckingham to sign on to his Alamo Bills, the Bills had not yet gone to a committee hearing, little less made it to the House Floor where the liberal amendments could be added to the bill. So, her claim is false. Buckingham can say all she wants, but the proof is in the pudding, she turned State Rep Biedermann down 3 times to sign on to his bill before any amendments were added. (FYI- TITFF talked to State Rep Kyle Biedermann via phone before we posted this statement. We want the truth, not hearsay.) The next topic we will discuss is Buckingham's claim that she was the only person to pass a Monument Protection Bill and her bill now protects all our historical medallions, markers and monuments. This is a true and false statement rolled up in one. First off, yes Buckingham passed a Monument Protection Bill, what you won't hear is that Buckingham's Monument Protection Bill is a DO-NOTHING BILL AND IT DOES NOT PROTECT ALL OF OUR MONUMENTS, MEDALLIONS & MARKERS. Up until TITFF confronted Buckingham on April 4th in Conroe, Texas, Buckingham had been telling everyone her bill protected all our monuments. She changed her tune once TITFF proved she was lying. For those that do not know, TITFF was the first organization to get a Monument Protection Bill put up for consideration in 2017 (85th Legislature). In fact, the first Monument Protection Bill named This Is Texas Freedom Force in the Bill, this followed TITFF hosting a rally where 1,500 armed Texans showed up to confront antifa, who threatened to vandalize the Sam Houston Monument. Since then, TITFF has pressed our Monument Protection Bill for 6 years, 3 legislative sessions (85th, 86th, 87th Legislature, we are currently working with Senators and State Reps to file our bill in the 88th Legislative Session.) So, when it comes to monument protection, we (TITFF) know the ins and outs of the bills & process. TITFF didn't work on Buckinghams monument protection bill because we could see it was a do-nothing bill, so there was no reason to waste our time on the bill. We have seen several do-nothing monument protection bills filed by Senators & State Reps over the years, most just file the bill to say that they did something, like Buckingham is doing. Now some may ask, "How do you know it's a do-nothing bill?" In this case it's really simple. First off, the Texas Historical Commission called Buckingham's bill a do-nothing bill. This was posted in a article in late 2021. Second, since Buckingham's supposed Monument Protection Bill passed, there has been 3 monuments removed by the liberal left, 300 historical bricks with the names of US & Confederate Veterans on them have been removed, and a fourth monument is currently under threat of removal by the liberal cancle culture. When you pass a monument protection bill, there should be 0 historical monuments removed. TITFF's monument protection bill states that all monuments 40 years old or older cannot be removed, monuments 20 years old to 40 years old can only be removed by a vote of Texans, then any monument under 20 years old can be removed if a city council or county commissioners court vote to remove it (that's because TITFF doesn't consider a monument 20 years old and younger to be a historical monument). Buckingham should have used her power & influence to get our bill passed instead of wasting time on her do-nothing bill. A quick side note, during our 6 years meeting with Senators and House Reps trying to pass our monument protection bill, Buckingham is one of a handful of Senators/House Reps that never sat down to discuss monument protection with TITFF. Another question you may have is "Why did Buckingham's bill pass, but TITFF's monument protection bill didn't pass. The answer goes back to the whole Rino issue. A lot of y'all have heard Don Huffines say "The Governor of Texas can get almost any bill passed that he wants." The biggest opposition to Monument Protection isn't the liberal left, it comes from the Establishment Rino's in office. We have posted several videos in the past where you hear a senator/state reps say "Senate leadership instructed the committee chair to sit on the bill" or "House leadership doesn't want to spend all day arguing this bills". The leadership in both the senate and the house is part of the establishment and they answer to Dan Patrick, Greg Abbott or both. Buckingham's bill was passed because the establishment knew her bill was a do-nothing bill, so they allowed her bill to go through. That way they could claim they did pass a monument protection bill, but they weren't worried about the backlash from democrats for passing it. The establishment is only interested in their next election, gaining more power and making money.
While in Conroe, Texas, Dawn Buckingham told the crowd "There was a period of time there where I thought i was going to have to chain myself to the Alamo Cenotaph because they were going to remove it". This is a bold face lie! See, she thought she would earn some brownie points, because TITFF was in the room, and we are known for our in-your-face tactics to protect our Texas History. In fact, TITFF came up with the idea of chaining ourselves to the Alamo Cenotaph back in 2018, but there were a lot of problems with this tactic. First off, you'd have to have over a 100ft of chain to go around the base of the Cenotaph. Second, that much chain would weigh over 1,000lbs, even if you loaded the chain into wagons or wheel-burrows, you would have to make a mad dash from the parking lot to the Cenotaph (which is a block and a half away) due to all the construction going on during 2018/2019. Don't forget the 10ft fence you would have had to cut to just into Alamo Plaza at the height of the threat. By the time you got your people, the wagons/wheel-burrows, cut the fence, and made it to the Cenotaph, the Alamo Rangers and SAPD would be waiting to arrest you for trespassing and destruction of the fence. We scrapped that plan almost immediately and had a better plan (I'd tell you the new plan, but then Buckingham would claim that is what she was going to do. smh). One of things TITFF brought up in Conroe was a debate. TITFF offered to pay for, work with and bring other organizations in on a debate between her (Buckingham) vs Dr. Tim Westley. We offered to work around her schedule so she could make it. We offered to host it in her district so she wouldn't have to travel far. In the end, Dawn Buckingham, aka Duckingham, has yet to return our emails for a debate. We suspected that Dawn Buckingham was ducking Dr. Tim Westley. When Dr Westley is asked to go to an event and speak, Buckingham is nowhere to be seen. She even canceled a speaking engagement at her own Country Club when they invited Dr Tim Westley to speak at the event. Buckingham knows she can't compete with Dr Tim Westley, so she cancels or doesn't sign on to speak at the same meetings as Dr Westley. Hints why we nicknamed her Duckingham. The real losers are the people of Texas. If you want Texans to vote for you, if you want to serve the people of Texas, then you should debate your opponent so Texans can make a sound choice who to vote for. At the beginning of Buckingham's speach in Conroe, Texas, as seen on Video B, she was claiming she would do anything to save our Texas History. As the night wore on, she started to say, "I'm willing to do anything I can, that's respectable for a Senator, to protect our monuments". She realized that she had been exposed, we weren't buying her lies, and she kind of seemed like she felt guilty that she hadn't done more to truly protect our historical monuments. For months now, she has been lying to Texans about her involvement in monument protection & what her bill truly did for Texas History, that's because a lot of Texans were unaware of the truth. When she faced the organization that has led the charge on protecting our history, there wasn't a hole to take cover in, she was exposed. VIDEO B: TITFF GRILLS BUCKINGHAM OVER MONUMENT PROTECTION & THE ALAMO CENOTAPH GRASSROOTS CANDIDATE DR TIM WESTLEY When it comes to talking about Dr Tim Westley, vs Dawn Buckingham, the comparison is like night and day. For those who do not know who Dr Tim Westley is, you are in for a treat. Dr Tim Westley is a man who has done a lot in his lifetime. He's an Army Veteran, a pastor, an author of 5 books, a graduate of Wayland Baptist University where he obtained a B.S. in Religion and a Masters in Christian Ministry. He also earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, he's a teacher, a grassroots leader and most recently he served as the Republican Party of Texas Historian (appointed by retired Chairman LTC Allen West and reappointed by Chairman Matt Rinaldi). All very impressive accomplishments, but it gets better. TITFF met Dr Tim Westley during our fight to save the Alamo Cenotaph. Dr Westley attended a HDRC Meeting (Historic Design & Review) and spoke out against removing the Alamo Cenotaph. TITFF president Brandon Burkhart talked to Dr Tim Westley after the meeting and the rest is history, well protecting Texas History. Dr Tim Westley started speaking at TITFF's #NotOneInch rallies, to save the Alamo Cenotaph, became a member of TITFF, from there he was a staple at TITFF rallies (usually the headliner speaker). Dr Westley stood shoulder to shoulder with TITFF throughout our fight to save the Alamo Cenotaph, which was very impressive to the grassroots who loved hearing, what essentially was a Southern church style sermon about the Alamo and its importance. Dr Tim Westley traveled across Texas with TITFF, spreading the message about saving the Alamo Cenotaph. On May 30, 2020, Dr Tim Westley did something that 99% of politicians/candidates would never do. See, in the early hours of May 29, 2020, around 2am, during the height of the Black Lives Matter riots across the nation, the Alamo Cenotaph was vandalized by a member of the BLM in San Antonio, Texas. TITFF was first on scene, before the sun rose that morning, inspecting the damage and setting up guards to defend it from further damage. Since the city didn't have time to set up cameras on the North end of Alamo Plaza, TITFF decided to stay all night, defending the Cenotaph. That night, about a dozen different cars drove by, with different people hanging out the car window yelling, "We are going to burn the Alamo to the ground Saturday!" There was a BLM rally scheduled on May 30, 2020, in Downtown San Antonio, the mayor had thrown gas on the fire, so between the known rally and the threats Friday night, TITFF activated the alarm calling for any and all Texans to come to the Alamo Saturday afternoon to protect the Alamo. Saturday morning TITFF president Brandon Burkhart called Dr Tim Westley and said," We have solid evidence that the BLM is going to attack the Alamo this evening, TITFF is gearing up to defend it, do you think you can join us." There was no hesitation in Dr Tim Westley's response, he quickly said, "Send me the details and I will see you there." Dr Westley knew, since he had worked so closely with us, that if TITFF was sounding the alarm, we had pretty good evidence that there was going to be attack. Sure enough, that evening the BLM started to arrive in Alamo Plaza, Dr Tim Westley was not only standing shoulder to shoulder with TITFF, but he was out in front of the TITFF lines, trying to talk some sense into the BLM. We remember this clearly because TITFF had to stick 3 armed guards around him because we couldn't risk Dr Westley getting hurt. That night, Dr Tim Westley stood with TITFF, stopping 5,000 BLM rioters/looters from trying to burn the Alamo to the ground. How many politicians/candidates do you know, that would have done something like this for Texas History? We only know 1. When it was put up or shut up time, Dr Tim Westley proved he wasn't all talk. He proved that he loves our Texas History and was prepared to defend it. Shortly after defending the Alamo, Dr. Tim Westley was appointed to become the Republican Party of Texas's Historian by LTC Allen West. Dr Tim Westley began traveling the state talking to Texans about Texas History. He made sure that he would attend events, big and small, to talk about our Texas History. When it came time for TITFF to start our push, to pass a monument protection bill in the 87th Legislature, Dr Tim Westley was doing his part, working the capitol, talking to Senators and House Reps, trying to gain more support for the bill. Not only did he work inside the capitol, but Dr Westley also shared the stage with LTC Allen West, Don Huffines, State Rep Steve Toth, Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, Conservative Talk Radio Host George Rodriguez, State Rep Bryan Slatton, and many more at TITFF events across the state, talking about the importance of Texas History. Dr Tim Westley truly fought (and continues to fight) for our Texas History and Texas Values.
Dr Tim Westley is a man of his word. What you see and hear on stage, is exactly who he is 24/7 365. He's never forgot the grassroots who have stood with him before he took office. Dr Tim Westley even found time to help marry TITFF's president Brandon Burkhart and his bride during the height of covid. The room was filled with patriots from across the state, different grass roots organizations, all maskless and having a great time. Dr Tim Westley is truly a part of the grassroots, We The People. He's done so much for Texas. I could go on and on about Dr Tim Westley and his accomplishments, but this article is a little long, so I will close with this. Dr Tim Westley is a one of a kind candidate. Texans will never see such a honest candidate, not afraid to answer questions and give you a direct answer, and a man who will stand up and fight for the grassroots, in their lifetime ever again. He practices what he preaches, his beliefs fall in line with true Texas Constitutional Conservatives, and he's unafraid to get his hands dirty and do the work for We The People, and he scares the living daylights out of the liberal cancel culture. Dr Tim Westley is a candidate that Texans can be proud of. If you haven't heard Dr. Tim Westley speak at an event, we have provided several videos of his speaches. Simply press one of the Black Buttons below and it will direct you to that particular speach. Don't take our word for it, listen to Dr Tim Westley yourself. If you like what you hear, share it on your social media account or to patriotic groups so other Texans can learn more about Dr Tim Westley as well. NOTE: This Is Texas Freedom Force does not endorse candidates for political office, we simply lay out the facts and let you decide. Now, TITFF Directors, Coordinators and Members do endorse political candidates. If you want to see some of the endorsements you can go on Twitter, to their personal pages, and you can see their personal endorsements.
